Why the promotion felt like a demotion

The work you were good at is now something you're supposed to hand to someone slower.

How we work

Prepare, practice, debrief

Management is a different job with different skills, and most people receive no training before being handed a team. The result is a competent specialist improvising at something genuinely difficult.

The skills are learnable and specific: running a real one-on-one, giving feedback within days rather than months, delegating with context, and saying difficult things plainly and kindly.

Rehearsal is what makes those stick. Saying the hard sentence out loud to a coach first, including the response you fear, changes how the real conversation goes more than any framework does.

Our principles

Three beliefs behind the method

Say it early

Feedback saved for a review has already cost you.

Their agenda first

A one-on-one that's your status update isn't one.

HR and legal own the law

We prepare you. We don't advise on employment law.
